LEADERSHIP SETS THE STAGE...TEACHERS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

On September 17,  two outstanding educators from our ranks were selected as Principal and Teacher of the Year respectively.  These individuals were selected by their peers, and submitted information espousing their philosophies of education and exemplars of their commitment to the profession, students, the school district and the community.

This is always a special time for us.  I want to personally congratulate Mr. Gary Majors, principal, at Parker Middle School, our NRMPS 2013-2014 Principal of the Year, and Mrs.Dana Williamson, AIG Facilitator, at Southern Nash Middle School, our NRMPS 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year.  Both are excellent examples of the many outstanding professionals who serve our students everyday in classrooms across our school district.  We are proud of them as well as all of the school-level teachers of the year and our other two finalists for principal of the year.

Please join me in saluting all of our wonderful professionals.  I challenge each of you to find a way to make each and every teacher in our community feel valued, respected and honored.  All of our teachers should feel as if they have been selected as teacher of the year because of the impact they are make each and every day. No Limits... Possibilities 2.0! We celebrate all of the 21st Century professionals in our district who are making the difference!
